Kinks is a 5 year old border collie. His life is frisbee.  Have a dog treat in one hand and a frisbee in another and he will choose the frisbee every time.  His name came from the fact that he was born with a kink in his tail.

When Kinks was 6 weeks old, Michael would roll a mini frisbee across the floor and Kinks would bound after it and drag it back. They entered their first competition when Kinks was 5 months old.   At 6 months old they entered the Beginner Freestyle event in Breckenridge, Colorado and took first place.  The fever was on! 

They could have stayed in the Novice division for one year, but except for that one special Beginner Freestyle event, there isn't any freestyle in the Novice division. Since both Michael and Kinks love freestyle, they skipped straight up to the Open division when Kinks was 7 months old.

Michael's son, Matteo, will occaisionally compete in Juniors with Kinks.  Matteo enjoys playing with Kinks, but his real love is trains!

When not playing frisbee, Michael and Kinks love to hike with their family.  Their family includes Michael's wife, Jenny, their 9 year old son, Matteo, and a 14 year old dog named Simba.  Simba has never had any interest in frisbee but hiking is to Simba as frisbee is to Kinks.
